Vedic chanting originates in India and is one of the most important tools of Yoga. At the heart of Vedic chanting are Mantra-s, meaning “that which protects your mind”—sounds which are vocalized in a conscious way to influence emotional, mental and physical health. Some benefits of chanting include: Longer, stronger breath; heightened concentration and memory; refined speech & articulation; and improved well being. Essentially, chanting is a form of pranayama and meditation that enhances our vital energies. All levels welcome.
A Deep and Quiet Yin Practice: 2 hour special class with Ceily Levy
Sundays, 2-4PM, Jan 28, Feb 25, March 18, April 22, May 27 2018   $60 – All 3 sessions or $25 Drop-in
Yin yoga is an inquiry into the dynamic stillness of asana. It is a quiet practice that compliments vigorous yoga and exercises that emphasize the strengthening and lengthening of muscles and build internal heat. The yin shapes, executed through periods of stasis, surrender and stillness, expose the joints to skillful pressure targeting the bones, synovial fluids and deeper connective tissues. Yin yoga is naturally balancing and leads to the enhancement of both the quality and movement of chi – life force energy. A long yin practice with conscious relaxation and meditation holds the potential for sublime transformation, insight and peace. Please register in advance: (630) 712-1207 or
